Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live a life free from rules and restrictions? To rebel and challenge the conventions of society at every turn, opting for an existence defined by complete anarchy?

In this captivating memoir, I, John Doe, recount the exhilarating journey of my eighty-one years of anarchy. From my rebellious teenage years filled with defiant acts to my daring adventures as an adult, I have defied every boundary placed upon me, embracing the true essence of freedom.

As a child, conformity never sat well with me. I was restless, constantly questioning the rules that seemed to suffocate my spirit. From a young age, I realized that living in harmony with myself meant embracing the chaos and unpredictability that life offers.

Chapter 1: Defiance and Disobedience - A Teenage Rebel

In this chapter, I delve into my turbulent teenage years. Fueled by an unyielding desire for autonomy, I defied authority figures at every turn. From brawling with classmates to organizing impromptu wild parties in abandoned warehouses, my youth was a fervent rebellion against societal expectations.

I recount the thrill of breaking the law, my heart pounding as I engaged in acts of civil disobedience. Graffiti became my canvas, expressing my frustration and defiance for the world to see. Adrenaline coursed through my veins as I stood up against injustice, my anarchic spirit unwavering.

Chapter 2: The Road Less Traveled - Embracing Chaos

This chapter explores my early adult years, where I fully embraced a nomadic lifestyle. I rejected the confines of a conventional job and set off on a series of unconventional adventures. From hitchhiking across countries to living off the grid, I found solace in the untamed wilderness.

Living without rules meant facing uncertainty and danger head-on. I recount the exhilarating moments of survival and unexpected encounters with kindred spirits on my journey. Each step I took was a rebuke of societal norms, a testament to the indomitable power of the human spirit.

Chapter 3: Reign of Chaos - Anarchy in Action

In this chapter, I detail the pinnacle of my anarchic existence. Breaking boundaries became a way of life as I immersed myself in activist movements and participated in wide-scale protests. Together with like-minded individuals, we challenged the very fabric of the system, striving for a world that embraced true equality and freedom.

The chaos we created was not without purpose. In our rebellion, we unearthed pressing issues that demanded society's attention. Through acts of civil disobedience, we aimed to shatter the complacency and awaken dormant spirits yearning for change.

Chapter 4: Reflections and Legacy

The final chapter of my memoir takes a reflective turn. As I enter the twilight years of my life, I contemplate the impact of my anarchic journey. While my unconventional path may seem chaotic to some, it has allowed me to truly live, unrestrained by societal pressures.

I discuss the importance of upholding individuality and embracing the extraordinary aspects of life. Anarchy, in its truest form, stimulates personal growth, challenges the status quo, and fosters a world where creativity flourishes sans limitations.

So, if you have ever yearned to live life free from the chains of conformity and societal expectations, dive into my memoir, My Eighty One Years Of Anarchy. Immerse yourself in the captivating stories and embrace the untamed spirit within you.

Warning: Reading this memoir may ignite a radical fervor within you, prompting you to challenge the status quo and defy societal norms!

May Picqueray (1898–1983) missed none of the major events in history during her lifetime. In 1921, she sent a parcel bomb (it exploded without casualties) to the US ambassador in Paris, to protest against the infamous conviction and death sentence of Sacco and Vanzetti. In November 1922 she was commissioned by the CGTU Metal Federation at the Congress to attend the Red Trade Union International in Moscow, where she stood on a table and denounced the congress for feasting while the Russian workers starved.  She then refused to shake hands with Leon Trotsky, to whom she had come to ask for the pardon of anarchist political prisoners. Years later, she was closely involved in the movements of May 1968 and the Fight for Larzac in 1975. Picqueray’s story is closely entangled with those of Sébastien Faure, Nestor Makhno, Emma Goldman, Alexander Berckman, Marius Jacob, and Buenaventura Durruti, among so many others. Her autobiography, My Eighty-one Years in Anarchy, is available here in English for the first time, translated by Paul Sharkey.
